There really is no set time guideline on how early
you should book your hall. However, the earlier you start shopping the
better selection you will have. Saturday dates from April 15th to October
31st are most popular and are the first to get booked. We suggest at
least 10-12 months before.
|
|
I have been told that I should book the hall before I confirm my ceremony,
what would you advise me? |
|
|
Definitely not. Always book the ceremony site before
you book the hall. Halls are more flexible with their dates and times.
|
| What
are the factors that affect my rate per person? |
|
|
The
factors that affect your rate per person are the Date of your event,
Number of Guests minimum guaranteed, and Menu.
Date: Saturdays dates are most expensive,
while dates in the off season (November to March) are least expensive
overall.
Number of Guests: The higher your
minimum number of guests the lower the rate per person for the same
menu. Halls all have fixed overhead expenses, and if these costs are
being divided by a higher number of guests, then a lower rate per person
will be offered. This is the reason why so many halls have a minimum
requirement. If your number of guests is very low in comparison to the
room capacity, then the rate per person will be very high.
Menu: Selecting Buffet over Sit
Down Service will lower your rate, in addition to the selected items
on your menu. Ordering many courses or entrees that are more costly
to purchase at the time of your event (For example New York Steak is
most expensive during Summer) will increase your rate per person.

|
| How
do I determine what my minimum number of guests is? |
|
|
Write a master list of all your invited guests, including
bridal party and immediate families. On average 10-12% of invited guest
do not attend. For example if you are inviting 250 people then divide
250 by 1.12. Your minimum should be 225 people.
|
|
|
| My
guest list is quite large, how can I ensure that a majority of tastes
and preferences are met? |
|
|
There are different options. At La Vedette
we offer combination platters either French Served or served
on the table for your guests to choose from. Buffet Service,
for example Antipasto Bars and Sweet Tables also provide your
guests with a variety of choices. We also offer special meals

religious beliefs.
